RX-310, Introduction to Fire Effects (Pre-Course Work) 2017

This instructor-led course has pre-course work (estimate 2 hours). Additional information about the course can be found in the Manager’s CourseField  Guide (PMS 901-1).

Instructions: 
  1. Go to the Fire Effects Information System (FEIS)  webpage, complete the FEIS Tutorial found on the left hand side of the page under User Resources. This is intended to familiarize you with FEIS and does not need to be submitted to the instructor or course coordinator.
     
  2. Download and complete the pre-course work located under the Supporting Documents below. This work must be completed and returned to the lead instructor or course coordinator prior to attending the course.
     
  3. Read and become familiar with the contents of this article Fire Intensity and Fire Severity Terminology.
     
  4. Optional Cadre Specific pre-course work:  Cadres may choose to add additional materials to the core pre-course work assignment.  The instructions and assignment will be outlined in your course acceptance letter along with clear instructions and what to do with the additional assignment when complete.
