S-390, Introduction to Fire Behavior Calculations (Pre-Course Work/Pre-Selection Assessment) 2006
This instructor-led course consists of pre-course work (est. 8-10 hrs.) and a pre-selection assessment (est. 2 hrs.). Additional information about the course can be found in the Field Manager’s Course Guide (PMS 901-1).
- Complete the pre-course work. (Note: The URL on the last page of the tutorial entitled “S-390 Pre-Qualifying Test” links to the NFA Online website.)
- Print the Hellroaring map. You will use this map to answer questions on the test.
- Login to the NFA Online website to register.
- Search the NFA Course Catalog for the S-390 exam and add it to your To-Do List.
- Complete the pre-selection assessment. You must score 70% or higher to receive a certificate of completion.
- Print and submit the certificate to the instructor or course coordinator, as directed.
- Use the reference materials listed below to complete the pre-course work and pre-selection assessment.
